Patient Testimonials

  • High Risk patient With EF of 20% Talking Post treatment with Dr Mahesh

Feeling very happy and proud that our CTVS unit at Paras hospital is fast becoming a major referral center for aortic surgeries as well. Below are images and video of my last Bentall's operation(not for the faint heart!!!).

With training and blessings from two masters of their art, Prof Dr. K Jayakumar, the head of the department of my Alma Mater SCTIMST, and my career mentor Dr. Sandeep Attawar, I was able to perform this complex case rather easily.

This was a particularly challenging case, with LV ID(diastolic) dimension of 9.5cms, this is literally the biggest (most dilated and very weak) heart that I have operated so far in my 13 years of career. His EF was 20% with severe aortic regurgitation. What further compounded the matter was that right coronary artery was involved in the annual aortic ectasia, and greatly lengthened (finally reimplanted it appx 5cms above the annular level).
