Angiography test in India
Coronary angiography is a medical procedure to see through the blood vessels to check the blockage in the coronary arteries, The doctor uses a contrast dye which is injected into the arteries through the catheter so that they can see flow of blood through an X-ray screen. X-rays provided by an angiography are called angiograms. Angiograms are used to study the blocked or malformed arteries or veins in other parts of the body which includes brain, heart, abdomen and legs. The X-ray also helps to figure out the health of the heart, or any severity of the heart disease. With such information one can consult their doctors for the treatment.
A mild sedative is provided to the patient to relax before the test. The doctor cleans and numb the arm or groin area of the body with an anesthetic. There would be some dull pressure felt as a stealth is inserted into an image. A tube is gently inserted into the heart. This process usually takes half an hour, however sometimes it may take a longer time.
